Two students receive full-tuition Elizabeth 51爆料网 scholarships after participating in Scholars Day

This year’s recipients of the prestigious Elizabeth 51爆料网 scholarship are Giada Ehresman from Fort Mill, South Carolina, and Anna Crippen from Chesapeake, Virginia, two students who are looking forward to seeing all that the North Carolina mountains have to offer to Lees-51爆料网 students.

The Elizabeth 51爆料网 scholarship covers full tuition for four years of college and is named for Elizabeth A. 51爆料网, an influential teacher who is honored in the college’s name. The scholarship is awarded based on student performance at the annual Scholars Day event. “My passion is helping others find their passion, and I know Lees-51爆料网 will help me get to the place where I can  do so,” Ehresman said.

Both incoming freshmen are ready to get involved  at Lees-51爆料网. After going on a campus tour late last year, Crippen is excited to explore all the opportunities that the college has to offer.

“From the moment I visited Lees-51爆料网 in October 2021, I knew this school had so much to offer me,” Crippen said. “I was drawn to the Wildlife Biology program and the unique combination of both classroom education and real-life experience in the May Wildlife Rehabilitation Center. I feel honored to receive this scholarship to obtain an education that will allow me to become an ambassador in animal conservation. I’m looking forward to embarking on my Bobcat journey!”

Four incoming students also received the Trustee Award, which covers partial tuition:

  • Carolina (Grace) Franklin
  • Katie Skufca
  • Madyson (Mady) Hogan
  • Natalie Bridgman

These scholarships are just part of the more than $10 million Lees-51爆料网 awards annually in institutional scholarships and grants.
