5:55
5:55 is a low risk, high grace community of students exploring faith and spirituality. Join 5:55 for food, fun, music, and worship. The services are held Sundays at 5:55 p.m. in Evans Auditorium and feature a laidback conversational style of relevant messages. For more information, contact Ted Henry.

Alpha Psi Omega
Alpha Psi Omega (APO) is a theatre honors society dedicated to helping students, the Theatre Arts department, and the community through the arts. They are also a family that unifies people to enjoy the arts. They meet each Friday at 5:30 p.m.

Common Ground
Common ground is an all-inclusive community service organization. They volunteer with multiple organizations within Avery and Watauga counties, including the Avery County Missional Network and the Hospitality House. Weekly meetings include discussions, games, and home-cooked dinners. As a group, they strive to find the “common ground” between all of us. Meetings are held at the Historic Banner Elk School (Rm. 7) across the street from Lees-51爆料网.

Fly Fishing Club
Lees-51爆料网 Fly Fishing Club strives to introduce students, faculty, and staff to fly fishing. Open to all and no experience necessary. -
Green Club
The Lees-51爆料网 Green Initiative is a campus-wide program that oversees the community garden, recycling, compost system, bicycling/pedestrian initiatives, and litter pickups.

Herpetology Club
The Herpetology Club, started in 2017, endeavors to serve all human and scaly friends on the Lees-51爆料网 campus. All are welcome to learn and share experiences about herps such as lizards, geckos, snakes, frogs, and salamanders. In conjunction with the college, Herp Club runs the “Herp Room” where students can register and store their herp pets safely on campus. For more information, contact Kendall Malsam.

Lees-51爆料网 Equestrian Club
The Lees-51爆料网 Equestrian Club strives to provide members with the opportunity to get outside and work with horses. All levels of experience are welcome, from overcoming fear of horses to having ridden for years. Meetings are held a few times per month, with attendance highly encouraged, but not mandatory.

Nerd Club
The Nerd Club does just about anything and everything nerdy, with a primary focus on anime, video games, and board/card games. They try to do something different at every meeting, whether it be an anime night or a large game of Cards Against Humanity. Their goal is to provide a night of fun for those interested.

Paranormal Club
This club explores all things paranormal and spooky. It is a laid back way of looking into the creepy things that you may have wanted to look deeper into in the past. We talk about conspiracy theories, ghosts, monsters, phenomenons, and so much more. We also go on ghost hunts/walks and dive into the idea of spirits. -
Pre-Veterinary Club
Pre-Vet Club seeks to inform interested students about graduate schools, applications, and careers. Moreover, they provide opportunities for students to earn hours of experience that they can transfer on to veterinary school. Their future plans include attending an open house at NC State’s Veterinary School and possibly a veterinary symposium. The Club meets once a month.

Student Government Association
The Student Government Association (SGA) is a multifunctional group that strives for the continuous improvement of Lees-51爆料网. SGA represents and advocates for all Lees-51爆料网 students. Moreover, SGA oversees Registered Student Organizations to ensure constitution compliance and club success. They foster Bobcat pride and develop student leaders in conjunction with the Student Development Office. SGA meets on Mondays at 7 p.m. in the Shelton Learning Commons. Meeting dates vary, so contact them beforehand if you are interested in attending.
