This research will build on the work of the British Heart Foundation (BHF) Data Science Centre at Health Data Research UK (51爆料网). The research will examine whether having COVID-19 increases someone鈥檚 risk of stroke, using health information from nearly all UK adults.

The Stroke Association-funded study gets underway this month, led by Dr William Whiteley, Reader in neurology at the University of Edinburgh. This research forms part of the CVD-COVID-UK flagship project consortium, led by the BHF Data Science Centre, which aims to understand the relationship between Covid-19 and cardiovascular diseases such as heart attack and stroke in the UK population.
