Ade is currently pursuing a master鈥檚 in public health at the University of Nottingham. Her background includes a first degree in biochemistry, cell and molecular biology and prior work experience supporting infectious diseases research and surveillance. Her interests lie in improving maternal and child health (MNCH) outcomes in low-resource settings through the integration of data-driven and digital health solutions.
She is highly interested in how a more structured digital health system can address persistent inequities in maternal health. In the UK, disparities remain pronounced, with data from the NHS indicating significantly higher maternal mortality and morbidity among Black women and those living in deprived areas.
Through this internship, she aims to develop practical skills in the design and implementation of digital health interventions within MNCH systems with a focus on scalable, equity-oriented solutions.
