Albert Joseph is a GPhC-registered clinical pharmacist and a recent Master鈥檚 graduate in Health Economics and Policy from the City St George鈥檚, University of London. Bridging clinical practice with a national and global systems-level understanding of how healthcare is funded, evaluated, and delivered, his background brings together expertise in pharmacology, therapeutics, medicines optimisation, and NHS service delivery.
Throughout his academic and professional journey, he has developed strong core research skills across literature review, epidemiological study design and statistical analysis, with a particular interest in how evidence is generated and translated into prescribing decision-making across primary and secondary care.
His current interests lie in population health, cost-effectiveness modelling, and the role of real-world evidence in the NICE reimbursement process, especially in the context of improving timely access to innovative medicines nationally. To support this ambition, Albert Joseph is keen to strengthen his technical skills through this internship, applying programming and data visualisation tools to generate insights that improve patient outcomes and advance health equity for all patients, while remaining attentive to the needs of underserved communities.
