Bernard is a final-year BSc computer science student at the University of Leicester and a Google Certified Advanced Data Professional. Passionate about uncovering insights from data, he has explored machine learning, time-series forecasting, and predictive analytics to support communities and solve real-world problems.
Through his experience in a medical physics department, Bernard developed a strong interest in applying data science within healthcare to improve patient outcomes. He is particularly interested in applying machine learning to support early intervention, personalised care, and clinical decision-making.
This summer, Bernard will be joining DaVita as a healthcare data scientist intern, where he looks forward to exploring predictive analytics techniques to improve outcomes for patients undergoing dialysis. He hopes to gain hands-on experience working with real-world healthcare datasets, developing predictive models, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver impactful healthcare solutions.
