Dr Bartlomiej Papiez’s research goal is to eliminate 鈥渦nwanted motion鈥 (motion correction) by estimation of plausible correspondences between medical images, acquired at different times, or on different imaging devices (image fusion). This creates an opportunity to facilitate the use of multimodal imaging in a range of clinical applications including: monitoring cancer / disease progression, precise radiotherapy planning and its patient personalised adjustment, or image fusion applied to combine the complementary image information
