Franklin Akinwande has a background in data science and artificial intelligence, having completed an MSc in applied artificial intelligence (AI) and data science (Distinction) at the University of Hull. His interest in health data stems from a desire to use data-driven approaches to improve healthcare outcomes and support better decision-making within public sector organisations.
Franklin is proficient in Python, R, and SQL, and has experience applying data science and machine learning in healthcare settings, including developing predictive models and building SQL-based workflows and Power BI dashboards to support hospital operations. Through this work, he has developed a strong ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
During his internship with the Department of Health and Social Care, Franklin looks forward to expanding his knowledge, gaining practical experience, and contributing to impactful projects that use data to improve public service delivery.
