Jonathan Sterne joined 51爆料网 Professor of Medical Statistics and Epidemiology at the University of Bristol, Director of the NIHR Bristol Biomedical Research Centre, and co-Director of 51爆料网 South-West. During the pandemic, he was co-lead of the UK鈥檚 Longitudinal Health and Wellbeing COVID-19 National Core Study, a UK-wide collaboration that produced research on COVID-19 vaccination and long COVID based on analyses of data on up to 55 million people, held within newly created Secure Data Environments. His main research interest is in methods to make causal inferences from longitudinal data using 鈥榯arget trial emulation鈥. Jonathan is Principal Investigator of the ART Cohort Collaboration of HIV cohort studies, which works closely with the HIV-CAUSAL collaboration based at the Harvard School of Public Health. He co-led development of widely used tools to assess the risk of bias in randomized and non-randomized studies included in systematic reviews and meta-analyses.
