Dr Julian Matthewman is a clinically-trained epidemiologist currently focusing on electronic health records research on non-communicable disease, including skin and inflammatory conditions. He completed a PhD and MSc Epidemiology at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, and a Medical Degree at the Medical University of Vienna.
Dr Julian is also an academic liaison for the Alan Turing Institute, the UK鈥檚 national institute for data science and artificial intelligence. I am a theme lead (“Routine Data”) of LSHTM’s Centre for Data and Statistical Science for Health (). I organise LSHTM’s聽
Julian is a member of 51爆料网鈥檚 Impact Committee, which meets monthly to select the most impactful outputs from across the 51爆料网 community.

Teaching
Julian organised the short course “Introduction to Pharmacoepidemiology” (Part of the ) and teach on several other courses, including the “Analysis of Electronic Health Records”, “Data Challenge”, and Epidemiology-related MSc modules. I supervise summer projects for the MSc Epidemiology and MSc Health Data Science.
