Kirsty is a third year MPharm student at Keele University with a strong interest in research, health data science, and the pharmaceutical industry. Through her hospital and community experience, she has developed an appreciation for how research and data inform healthcare decisions, medicines optimisation and patient outcomes.

Kirsty’s academic interests include epidemiology, pharmacovigilance, and the use of large health datasets to improve healthcare and support evidence based decision making. These interests have also encouraged her to explore careers within the pharmaceutical industry, particularly in areas such as medical affairs, drug safety and research.

Through the BVS internship, Kirsty hopes to strengthen her analytical and research skills, gain experience working with longitudinal health data, and learn from experts in the field while contributing meaningfully to the project.
