Maame is a PhD student working on deep learning for medical image analysis, with a focus on cardiac imaging. Her research sits at the intersection of computer vision, clinical need, and collaborating with clinicians on translational questions.

Before her PhD she worked in neuroimaging research, and outside her main research she enjoys building tools that make scientific work more accessible. This summer she’s excited to broaden her exposure to applied health data science in a clinical informatics setting. Longer term, she’s interested in bridging medical research with global health.
