Nevin is a medical student at the University of Nottingham, having previously graduated with a first class BSc in medical science (physiology) at the University of Leicester. He has a strong interest in clinical research, surgical medicine, and improving healthcare outcomes through evidence-based medicine. Alongside his studies, he has been actively involved in academic research, public speaking, and mentoring aspiring healthcare students. His previous research includes a systematic review and network meta-analysis in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), with his dissertation scoring within the top 5% of his cohort.

Beyond academia, Nevin is the co-founder and president of the African Caribbean Medical Society (ACMS) Lincoln and vice president of the INSPIRE National Medical Research Conference, where he leads initiatives focused on mentorship, healthcare access, widening participation, and professional development for underrepresented students. He is particularly interested in the potential of health data research to improve early diagnosis, address health inequalities, and drive innovation in patient care.
