Warren is a lay member and public contributor across clinical trials, research governance, and AI oversight. His focus is independent scrutiny of trial design and whether the frameworks guiding AI and health data stand up in practice. He holds PPIE roles at Royal Free Hospital, Barts Health NHS Trust, and King’s College London, and supports several investigator-sponsored studies.Ìý

As aÌýcarer, he has supported family members through complex health journeys, including dementia from diagnosis through to the end of life. That experience shapes how he approaches research, looking not only at what studies measure but also at who helped design them.Ìý

Warren has a particular interest in digital inclusion and health equity. He wants AI in health to succeed, which is why heÌýremainsÌýsceptical of claims that it is working well until the evidence shows it is working equitably, safely, and in theÌýpopulationsÌýit is meant to serve. He joined the Public Advisory Board because he believes those questions should be asked at a national level.Ìý
