Lisa Juniper

Public and patient representative

Lisa began her career as a Nurse, initially working in hospitals before transitioning to primary care. She continued in this profession until her youngest son was born extremely prematurely at 25 weeks gestation. This completely changed her trajectory. She has since returned to studying, and now volunteer in numerous capacities. Her particular area of interest includes the long-term impact of prematurity and raising awareness of the challenges faced by families and children as a result.

Lisa is a member of various NHS and Local Authority advisory and working groups, including improvement programmes. Through public involvement, she has helped to shape and support a number of research studies around her areas of interest. She is grateful for the opportunities she has been given and feels privileged to be able to use her lived experience to advocate and influence positive change.
